Vision: During the 2020’s mankind focused on reforestation of the world to stabilize our leaky atmosphere. Public transportation switched to non-polluting magnetic trains and solar powered hover cars and transport ships. Once the trend began and environmental success grabbed the international community’s attention, a combined world effort moved quickly to pull up cement roadways, pulverize and reconstitute them in combination with plastics removed and recycled from the ocean. By 2030 this concoction was used to build housing in small to medium-sized communities, surrounded by forests and connected to other communities with trains or AI operated hover-taxis.
Many communities opted for large silicone composite domes that collect solar power to operate community needs and are also capable of altering opacity for cooling during intense summer heat and retention of heat in the winter. Pyramid power, once thought to be a myth, was proven to aid communication devices to avoid dropped calls, and hence “rediscovered” in architecture.
By late century the population has ample leisure time to enjoy the life of their choosing. The arts and intellectual pursuits become popular social activities and new forms of expression are discovered. For instance, musicians find that by using carbon fiber fabrics they can create unique instruments that are played through pressure against the instrument skin rather than keys or valve buttons.
Earth responds to the world effort to save it, and near extinct species have returned. By 2089 children find it hard to believe that the world was once so polluted, although stories and songs of that era are there to remind them.
